BAPTISM
Baptism of infants: Congratulations to you on the
occasion of your child’s birth. We look forward to
welcoming your child into our Catholic community through
the sacrament of baptism. While recognizing that
parents have the primary responsibility of bringing up
their child in the practice of the faith, St. Joseph
Parish wishes to support you to do this amid the
challenges of contemporary living. We encourage parents
to be a part of our worshipping community each and every
weekend.
We
invite parents and sponsors to participate in a two hour
program of adult education prior to setting the date for
baptism. Contact the rectory for that information.
Sponsors should be practicing Catholics. A non-Catholic
cannot be an “official” sponsor.
Adult baptism: Please consult one of the priests to
inquire about the Rite of Christian Initiation for
Adults (RCIA).
